I got this outfit some time ago, but I haven't had time to take a picture until now! Hope you enjoy it. I think it's really adorable.
More later!

Well, once again, I've failed to post anything in over a month. With the new year though, I've made resolutions, and one of them is to post at least every 2 weeks. Even if it's just one picture. I'm hoping that I can do more with my dolls, and more doesn't necessarily mean fancier. Rachel and Marisol have decorated their tree for Christmas, and today took down the ornaments. Here are some pictures. A fortune cookie decoration comes off the tree and goes into the box. Marisol's teddy ornament comes off the tree too. Making some progress... Almost all of the ornaments are off... now all that's left is the hard part, the lights and roping.
I can't wait to have more for you this coming year. I got some things at American Girl Place last fall, and I haven't even shown them to you yet. Rachel's sweater was one of them. With some careful planning, I think I can meet my goal of posting photos every other week. Happy New Year! Lily I realize that I have failed at posting for most of the month of November. My marching band season ended November 8th, and my life has continued to be very busy. A few weeks ago, I managed to change some of my dolls into winter clothes, and realized how much I missed my hobbies, that I haven't done in a long time. Today, I took pictures of my dolls as they start to get ready for Christmas. They started doing some festive baking, and so far everything has turned out great. JJ, Kanani, Jess and Marisol decorate the ginger-bread house. Heather, Rachel and Jade-Lynne mix the batter for the their cookies. Heather is about to go put some of them into the oven.
I will do my best to post at least one photo every weekend from now until winter break. This semester has been busy, and has brought on a lot of stress, but I should have some great holiday pictures for you soon. I am going to draw the winner for the give away (that was started in September) early this week, and should have a name on here by Wednesday! Thanks for sticking with me. Lily PS: If you have left me comments, with questions about how to make the things from my last post, I haven't forgotten about you. I'll post a how to video, or some photos for you over winter break! NEW POSTS WILL BE BELOW THIS ANNOUNCEMENT UNTIL THE GIVE AWAY IS OVER... The give away has been extended until a time TBA. A new short post has been added below this on 10/15/12 Like I said, I am having a Give Away from now until October 1st. It's a back to school give away. Here are the regulations for entering:
The scarf, purse and change purse have all been homemade, and doll-sized for your 18" doll. If you have any questions you can email them to agpixplace@gmail.com. Here are some pictures: A post with photos will be posted tomorrow, and it will be below this post.
~Lily Recently, my dolls attended a crochet class. They learned how to single crochet. Here are some photos from their new creations. Marisol likes her hair tie, and matching scarf and hat. They'll be great for the cooler weather. An upclose on the hair-tie. Jade-Lynne LOVES her new scarf. Kanani and her new basket.
A post with diretions on how to make some of this stuff will be either on here or on Doll Science in the next few weeks. Don't forget to enter in the Give Away!! ~Lily My dolls love to get some new outfits for the fall. shopping too. I got some new outfits, and decided it's time to post them. I love this new outfit. The skirt fits really well, and isn't too short in the back. Ok, I don't really like the shoes, but you have to admit that the shirt, and accessories are really cute... This compass doesn't really work, but it still is a great accessory to ANY outfit. The buttons don't really work, but still really cute. Rachel's "new" outfit. So cute. See what I mean about mixing-and-matching? An upclose on the waist-pack.
I'm sorry for not posting in so long. I plan on having another post ready soon... I will be having a Give Away starting on the 18th of August and going through the end of September. So, come back on Saturday (or really, really late Friday) to find out what it is... :-) Have a good rest of your week. ~Lily Recently my mom and I went to a crochet class at JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts. My mom has made a few things for my dolls, and she helped me make my single crochet block into a doll accessory. I am thinking about making some accessories for a Give Away by crocheting, please let me know if you like this idea. :0) Here are photos of my dolls' new accessories. Jess and Kanani modeling a headband, cape, and new purse. Kanani's bag is made out of a cotton yarn. You can also use this material for pot-holders. This isn't like the acrylic material, and it won't melt when you place hot things onto it. The back of Jess' new headband. The bottom is like a drawstring. Rachel's new bag for the back of her wheelchair. The material is like a ribbon-yarn. Rachel's shrawl. This is the accessory that I made. My mom just finished it off. I skipped a stitch at the end of each row, and it didn't have straight edges... it looks great on Rachel though. I hope I can make some things for a future Give Away. Please let me know if you think this sounds like a good idea. ~Lily I took these photos earlier today, but forgot I hadn't posted them until now!! So sorry for the long wait! Recently Marisol, Rachel, Jess, and Jade-Lynne made some new outfits. Marisol just bought some new shoes. :0) They decided to put on a Fashion Show and took some pictures! Here are some photos. Jess, Marisol, Rachel and Jade-Lynne Rachel's home made skirt. I just LOVE those shoes from Home Sew for $7.95 (on the first page). Jess' new outfit Jess' face says it all! Jade-Lynne's dress and purse (there is a hat but it has a very big brim) from Serendipity Doll Company. We bought it on eBay though. I should be able to post some more photos this week! I have been slowly changing my dolls into summer outfits (I know by the time it's done it'll be winter... haha!). Anyway, look for more photos coming out for the next month. :0)
Oh- I have also been reading some of the new American Girl Mysteries... so look for some reviews soon too! Have a great week! Lily Happy 4th of July! I recently got the new outfits American Girl has for Julie and Ivy. I would like to thank those of you who signed the Outifts for Ivy petition a few years ago... it has finally gotten us somewhere! Here are a few pictures of them in their new outfits. Julie and Ivy in their new outfits. Julie's new outfit. The necklace is really hard to get on, and I suggest having a parent help you. The shirt does not have velcro, and goes on over her head. Ivy's new outfit. Her purse is from her "meet" outfit. I really like how the flip-flops look, and her bandana is adorable. Overall, if you like Julie and Ivy, I would say you have to get these outfits. I think it is really important to encourage American Girl to come out with more outfits, so be sure to write to them and tell them how much you liked Ivy's outfit. :0) My dolls have made themselves some new outfits... I will post photos this weekend. I hope you have a great 4th of July!! Lily It's Memorial Day! My dolls decided to have a cook out today. Marisol worked the grill, and Julie enjoyed her root-beer float. It was a good time for all. :0) Here in south-west Ohio, the temperatures have been in the 90s, but thankfully the temperature is going to go down over the next week! It is just too hot and humid outside! I'm so excited for summer. I hav 8 more days of school left, and I can't wait to have more time to post!
When do you get out of school? Have a great evening! Lily |
