Ivy Clothing Petition

I can't believe 2010 is almost closing, but I am happy to announce that American Girl Girl of the Year 2011's doll is going to be Hawaiian. ;) Thanks Liz for posting this. Kanani will be her name, and I cannot believe it. :) I have been to Hawaii before myself so I feel like this is an improvement. Hawaiian people (a lot anyway) I believe are biracial. It is nice that AG is improving, but I still wish that an Asian doll was coming out, or that they would make other clothing for Ivy. I don't think that the petition you all signed was wasted though. :) I think it is slowly convincing American Girl. :)

Hi=) I still haven't hear anything, but I know that they just came out with the MyAmericanGirl dolls... Last year when AG came out with Rebecca, she came out in late June. I don't think a new Asian doll is coming out this year.
If American Girl does what they have been doing Molly will be archived. They have been "archiving" their 3 originals starting in 2008 with Samantha. I believe if they do it again it will be Molly. I feel like World War II was such an important time though. I don't think they will ever archive Addy, Josefina, or Kit. They will need bi-racial (spelling) dolls, and I think the Civil War, the Depression and World War II are both such important times in our history.

I haven't heard anything new from American Girl yet about any new dolls only gossip...
I will keep you up to date, so if I hear anything about a new doll or a new Asian doll I will let you know=) In the mean time... look at my Posts 2010 page, and my Photos 2010 page...!!

So far I haven't heard anything about American Girl LLC coming out with new clothes for Ivy. How ever on Doll Diaries, I have heard that American Girl is coming out with 2 new dolls. I don't know if one of them will be Asian but... who knows. One might be;) In the letter I got in September they sounded like they were atleast considering it;)

10/32 OR 11/1! I can't believe it's November but...
Ok, so I am so sorry for not posting about the Ivy clothing Petition I sent in earlier. I got a letter from American Girl at the beginning of the month of late Sept. They said that bring out more outfits for friend dolls wasn't really what they would like to do. If they were going to have an Asian doll they would probably do it during the 1850s- Gold Rush or the 1860s- Transcontinental Railroad. So I think there maybe a new Asian doll out because we know that Kirsten is retiring and she is 1854!! Keep your fingers crossed. :)

So for NOTHING yet. I think they should get the petition soon though because my mom sent the petition in on Friday!

If American Girl sends anything back I will get it into a JPEG and I will post it. I just sent in a letter explaining what I did and my Petition!
But anyways. This will get into the mail hopefully by the end of the week. If they send anything I will atleast scan it in or take a photo of it and show you. Keep your fingers crossed.
