Finally new pictures... tutus and Fast and Easy No-Sew headbands

I haven't completely forgotten about this site, but I have been really busy and haven't been able to finish my doll suspenders yet.... the biggest problem is finding a clip small enough for a doll (too hook them onto pants).

I do have a few other pictures that I can post though... and hopefully in a few more weeks I will have finished the suspenders.

Recently we made some tutus for my dolls. I think they came out really well.

My mom learned how to make the tutu from aheartfulloflove.com, but then we just cut them shorter. I think it came out really cute.

Rachel also has a new headband made from a doll headband form from Punch Place Plus and ducktape. On a website my mom found, the headbands were decorated with fabric not duck tape. I will do a "How to" in the near future. I also have a request how to make the scarf that Marisol is wearing in this photo as well... I will try to do those two posts before the summer!

Rachel's new outfit

I took this picture last spring, but my internet would not cooperate with me, and so I was unable to post it. I just found it tonight. Rachel really likes this outfit because it's comfy, and it fits her really well (the older dolls are a little bigger than the newer dolls, so the newer clothing usually fits kind of tightly). You will see her in this outfit in some of the future posts on this website. I am determined to be more active in the "doll world" in 2014.

I've been trying to upload this picture for an hour and a half! I was going to make it bigger... when Weebly quit!

I got this outfit some time ago, but I haven't had time to take a picture until now! Hope you enjoy it. I think it's really adorable.

Memorial Day 2012

It's Memorial Day! My dolls decided to have a cook out today. Marisol worked the grill, and Julie enjoyed her root-beer float. It was a good time for all. :0) Here in south-west Ohio, the temperatures have been in the 90s, but thankfully the temperature is going to go down over the next week! It is just too hot and humid outside!

I'm so excited for summer. I hav 8 more days of school left, and I can't wait to have more time to post!

Behind the Scenes

I have decided that today's photos need to be from Behind the Scenes. Last November you may remember my friend Kat came over and took some photos of my dolls. I then digitally edited them, and woah-la, we have some photos that look really nice to post on the web. :0) But how did we do it all? Here is a photo that will show you (a little) of how we did it:

Our sleeping bags are in the corner, but here is some of the stuff that we used! (The poster that says "SUPER FORMULA" is from a dance prop).

More stuff... this isn't even everything! There was a lot that we didn't use, and a lot that we did use that's not in these photos.

Besides the "physical items" there is hair, and outfits, and posing that all takes time. Then you have to clean up... taking out, is no problem but putting away is a pain and no fun. :0) That is what really takes the time; the time that I just don't have during the school year very often. I try to do it when I can, and will do more in the summer and as the weather gets better. Today was just SO windy, everyone would have fallen over within seconds!

I will try to post some new photos hopefully next weekend.

Hawaii... digitally edited

My friend Kat came over this weekend and we took some more photos. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful friend in my life! We had a blast and we have photoshopped a few. Here is on with a Hawaiian beach behind it. We have had wonderful weather in Ohio this spring, (unusually warm) but I would love a get-away and I'm sure Kat would love to join me. :)

Don't you just wish you could be there right now? Doesn't the beach look wonderful? I also would love snowcones, and even better I would love to meet Kanani in person... haha (yes I do know Kanani is not a person, at least the AG Kanani)...

I hope everyone has had a great April Fools' Day. I haven't been able to think of any jokes to tell, that would not be too clasical (ie the spider). If you have any let me know, and I will do my best to remember them for next year.

A Photo from December...

I realized this weekend that I never posted the photos of my dolls in the "snow" during the winter school break. I know I have taken my dolls out into the real snow before, but this year, it was much easier (and warmer) to do the photos from inside. I took the photos on a window sill of a big picture window. This way I could get the photos so the dolls looked like they were outside.

I will try to upload some more "springy" photos next weekend. I can't believe how fast time has flown. The end of our 3rd quarter is this Friday! Can you believe how fast the school year has gone by? It feels like just yesterday I was coming back from winter break.

Our weather here has been wonderful. I am sure it is not to stay, but try to enjoy the nice weather (if you have nice weather) while it lasts,

A Month, and 6 days!

Hello Everyone,
I can't believe I have not posted in over a month. I have been busy and truly haven't had much time to dedicate towards photo-taking or posting. I have so much to tell you and show you and I don't know if I should start present and work backwards or vise-versa. Any ideas?

Before I go too far, I do want to take a moment to let everyone know that our house has not had any damage from the storms. We were very lucky in the Cincinnati area. Kentucky, and SE Indiana were unfortunately not so lucky (as you have heard I am sure). I hope that those who lost loved ones, know that not everyone may be able to empathize with them, but that everyone does sympathize their family.

Moving on to some more positive and upbeat things... This week, I am going to show you some photos of some American Girl items that I recently got. am going to show them to you slowly. As always, feel free to email me photos of activities you have done with your dolls, or any of the doll accessories. I would love to hear from you!

Here is everything in the box. The fruit came in a little bag (and so did the beignets. But I left everything in the bowl, and the beignets on the plate for convenience. I took off the pineapple because the box would not close otherwise. :)

Here's the water pitcher and cups. Aren't the designs beautiful?

Here is the fruit and the bowl. I love how the fruit looks so real.

The food that you HAVE to eat if you go to New Orleans... Beignets! I had them when I was there in 2007 at Cafe duMonde and I loved them. :) The secret though is to get to Cafe duMonde EARLY because it get very crowded very early.

I apologzie again for not posting in the last month. My life is so crazy this spring, and the weeks and weekends just truly fly by. I will do my best to post weekly though for the remainder of the year. We haven't had any snow days this year which is very unusual. We have had snow 4 times, but 2 of the times it didn't stick on the ground.

Boston Photos- Part II

Hi Everyone,

I am not quite sure what is going on with the title... I will have to look at that, but I am posting Boston Photos- Part II. These are things that I got at the beginning of June in Boston while visitng my Grandma. Here they are.

I love the blouse and sweater on this outfit.

I also recently found old photos of my dolls and some of me too for that matter. I would like to start posting one a week on this site (kind of instead of Show and Tell Wednesday). I can't guarentee a certain day that I will post them, but I will try to post one a week by the end of the week. :) I will do this weeks' tomorrow.

Boston Photos- Part I

Hey! I am so excited to finally be posting photos again.... Part II should be coming tomorrow. :)

I think the font is a little small looking sometimes but not all the time. Remember to make things look bigger you can do Ctrl + or Apple +.
Today, I am going to post the photos of the outfit that I got in Boston that is only sold in Boston, and a new Doll Seat for your suitcase that is only sold in Boston. I didn't bring a doll with me, and I regretted it... I did play with my cousin's dolls some though. I will also post a picture of Lindsey's hair. My mom fixed the curls a little.
