It's Summer!

I'm so excited that it's summer time. :) Some of my dolls decided to put on a fashion show in their summer time outfits! I hope more pictures will be coming later this week... maybe some outside since the weather in SW Ohio has been GORGEOUS for this time of year! It feels so good to be back. :)

Crochet Class

Recently, my dolls attended a crochet class. They learned how to single crochet. Here are some photos from their new creations.

Marisol likes her hair tie, and matching scarf and hat. They'll be great for the cooler weather.

Back to school outfits

My dolls love to get some new outfits for the fall. shopping too. I got some new outfits, and decided it's time to post them.

I love this new outfit. The skirt fits really well, and isn't too short in the back.

Ok, I don't really like the shoes, but you have to admit that the shirt, and accessories are really cute...

This compass doesn't really work, but it still is a great accessory to ANY outfit.

The buttons don't really work, but still really cute.

New Crochet Accessories

Recently my mom and I went to a crochet class at JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts. My mom has made a few things for my dolls, and she helped me make my single crochet block into a doll accessory. I am thinking about making some accessories for a Give Away by crocheting, please let me know if you like this idea. :0)

Here are photos of my dolls' new accessories.

Jess and Kanani modeling a headband, cape, and new purse.

Kanani's bag is made out of a cotton yarn. You can also use this material for pot-holders. This isn't like the acrylic material, and it won't melt when you place hot things onto it.

The back of Jess' new headband. The bottom is like a drawstring.

Rachel's new bag for the back of her wheelchair. The material is like a ribbon-yarn.

Rachel's shrawl. This is the accessory that I made. My mom just finished it off. I skipped a stitch at the end of each row, and it didn't have straight edges... it looks great on Rachel though.

I hope I can make some things for a future Give Away. Please let me know if you think this sounds like a good idea.

My Dolls new outfits

I took these photos earlier today, but forgot I hadn't posted them until now!! So sorry for the long wait!

Recently Marisol, Rachel, Jess, and Jade-Lynne made some new outfits. Marisol just bought some new shoes. :0) They decided to put on a Fashion Show and took some pictures! Here are some photos.

Jade-Lynne's dress and purse (there is a hat but it has a very big brim) from Serendipity Doll Company. We bought it on eBay though.

I should be able to post some more photos this week! I have been slowly changing my dolls into summer outfits (I know by the time it's done it'll be winter... haha!). Anyway, look for more photos coming out for the next month. :0)

Oh- I have also been reading some of the new American Girl Mysteries... so look for some reviews soon too!

Happy 4th of July! I recently got the new outfits American Girl has for Julie and Ivy. I would like to thank those of you who signed the Outifts for Ivy petition a few years ago... it has finally gotten us somewhere!

Here are a few pictures of them in their new outfits.

Julie's new outfit. The necklace is really hard to get on, and I suggest having a parent help you. The shirt does not have velcro, and goes on over her head.

Ivy's new outfit. Her purse is from her "meet" outfit. I really like how the flip-flops look, and her bandana is adorable.

Overall, if you like Julie and Ivy, I would say you have to get these outfits. I think it is really important to encourage American Girl to come out with more outfits, so be sure to write to them and tell them how much you liked Ivy's outfit. :0)

My dolls have made themselves some new outfits... I will post photos this weekend.

Memorial Day 2012

It's Memorial Day! My dolls decided to have a cook out today. Marisol worked the grill, and Julie enjoyed her root-beer float. It was a good time for all. :0) Here in south-west Ohio, the temperatures have been in the 90s, but thankfully the temperature is going to go down over the next week! It is just too hot and humid outside!

I'm so excited for summer. I hav 8 more days of school left, and I can't wait to have more time to post!

My dolls recently have gotten their school photos taken! This week I am posting Jade-Lynne and Rachel's photo.

Jade-Lynne's school photo. I love the shirt she is wearing. She really didn't want to take her necklace off.

I am getting into a routine in school and should be able to post maybe twice a week (at least we'll try). I am posting this under Summer Photos. I know September is considered fall, but it is still summer and I want to think of fall far far away! (see the optomism?).

New Outfit for my BittyBaby!

Hey Everyone,
I know that I don't play with my Bitty Baby Lily very much anymore. I don't think I have posted about her once in this blog even, but... today is different!

I got a new outfit for Lily! Here is a photo. It is the pajama outfit. I think it is so adorable on her! She looks so cute. And it looks very summery!

I know, she has a blue eye and a brown eye. She has a hard life. She was left out in the rain one night, left out on the swing in our back yard numerous times. I just don't think I could replace her. I am thinking about getting a twin for her... who I could name Christina, but I don't know about that!

Ok- have a great week! I hope school has been going ok for everyone! I love all of my teachers and so far my classes are going great!

Making a Puzzle- a Photo Story

Hey Everyone,First I would like to say, I was almost done with this photostory and was going to save it in my drafts when the internet crashed! So, let's try this again. Sorry- it may not be as great as the first time. You never do something perfect the second time. ;0)

It has been a long time since I posted a photo story and that seems to be what people love. :)

Jess and Rachel celebrated their 5th birthday recently. Since they are twins, they got similar puzzles with 3 jewels. One of the puzzles is already complete, and now they are working on Rachel's puzzle. :) Here they are completing the puzzle with big sister Kanani. Kanani is thinking about asking for the 3rd puzzle for her birthday this October. :-)

Rachel, Kanani, and Jess have separated the puzzle pieces into 2 categories: edges and non-edges.

Rachel's piece is in the puzzle. :) The puzzle is almost finished!
