Hey Everyone!  It's week 10 of Old and Recently Found Photos!  This has kind of taken over Show and Tell Wednesday I have noticed... I will still post some of S&TW on my blog occasionally though.

This week I thought I would post a photo from Christmas day 2008.  I got Samantha and Nellie.  I knew I was getting Samantha but on December 24th Nellie was in my advent calendar (the little tag from Nellie).  It was such a nice surprise.  The display below stayed in our living room until probably February when the Girl Scout cookies came!  These are just some of my dolls...

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for not posting an "Old and Recently Found Photos" for the past 2 weeks!  Here is a photo of Rachel at Navy Pier in Chicago!  Unfortunately (or should I say fortunately) when we are in Chicago we don't just go to American Girl Place.  We also like to go to the aquarium (I LOVE DOLPHINS), and Navy Pier.  We also  Ok- I am planning on posting some photos tomorrow.  Don't forget about the Give Away and Petition!

Hey Everyone,
Since school starts this week (sigh!), I thought I would show you this weeks Old and Recently Found photo before I got too busy! 

Loran and Rachel in our cabin on Isle Royale National Park(Michigan).  This was in 2008, and I think that they both can say that had a great time! hehe. :)  I know I did.  We did a lot of hiking, and it was a nice quiet time.  It was so nice being 50 miles out in Lake Superior!  Unfortunately due to cost, that vacation doesn't happen more than every couple of years! 

Due to school starting on Tuesday, I will not guarentee that I can post more than once a week, probably during the weekend.  If I do, I will be sure to make sure I let you know "I posted also on Thursday" in the latest post of the week!  I will aslo not be on Twitter and email as much.

Hey Everyone,

For this weeks' Old and Recently Found Photos, I thought I would share with you this photo. :)  This was taken at my Grandma's house in 2007.  Rachel is in the clothes from when JLY was American Girl of Today.  I believe that is what she came in. 

I can't believe how much better at photography  am now, then I was then.  It is so fun to look into the past, as well as discover things over again. :0)

There will be another Old and Recently Found Photos next week.  I know I skipped this for a few weeks, but I had a lot of photos from Michigan then.

Hey Everyone,

This photo was from the first time I went to American Girl Place in Chicago!  I was so excited when I found this cute exhibit. :)  These clothes are actually the clothes that American Girl used in the Molly movie!  They had other accessories too like a letter, and a telegram from the movie.  You could clearly tell telegram envelope details were changed to match the details in the movie, but it was still so neat to see. :)

I think it is so cool that I got to see some real costumes!

This is right after I got Jade-Lynne, my 2nd Just Like You doll. :)  I think she is so gorgeous, and I am so lucky to be able to have so many wonderful dolls!

I love having my dolls even though I don't use all of them at any given time.  I think it gives for some diversity, and it doesn't get boring to see photos since they all contain different dolls. :) 

I still remember finding out that Julie had an Asian friend Ivy from a friend.  It was so important to me to get them, and I am still very upset that American Girl doesn't make clothing for Ivy.   I still wish they would make an Asian doll as well... :)

It is still just as exciting to get a new doll today as it was to get my 2nd!  I can barely remember getting Marisol... but that's a story for another day. :)

I love this photo!  It makes me think of a school photo. :)  This was taken in 2008.  The background is a wall in our kitchen!  I love the wall paper because it looks like a school picture background. 

I can't believe how much better at photography I have gotten since then.  This was almost a year before I made my webpage.  I unfortunately took Mia's braid out since I got her, but I will eventually try to put it back in.  It looks like it is just french braided.  Thankfully the wrinkles from the original braid are still in so I can tell what hairs to use. :)

Thanks for taking a trip down memory lane with me.  I can't wait to do it again next week!

PS: Mean while... I hopefully will be posting some summer photos of my dolls.  I don't know if we are gonna get in a Summer Fashion Show... might just do an early fall fashion show.  What do you think?

Hi,  This week for Old and Recently Found Photos Week III, I have decided to show you a photo of my dolls with my friend Aly's dolls.  This was back when I only had a few (I think).  It was in 2008, so I would have had Rachel, Marisol, Kit, Molly, Emily, Julie, Ivy, Nicki, and Kaya!  Most of them are in the photo.  I can't believe I only had 9 then... that was 1/2 as many dolls!! Wow!

I hoe you enjoyed the photo.  I think it really helps tell how fast tiem goes by.  I think that everyday you should look at what you have and NOT what you don't have.  I sometimes have a tough time doing that, but when I look at these type of things, it really helps to see how lucky I am to have all the stuff I do. :)
I am not sure, if we both had Marisol or not.  I also am not sure whose Ivy is which.  Claire is Aly's (for sure) and Rachel is mine (for sure).  They were our "Just Like You Dolls".  Actually- the generation my Rachel is from is when they were called "American Girl Today".  I can't believe how many times American Girl has changed names, outfits for their dolls, and their doll selections!  Time flies!

Hey,

Welcome to Old and Recently Found Photos Week II!  I have found in an old photo album a photo of me and 3 of my dolls in our American Girl Club t-shirts!  For the many people who don't know what the American Girl Club was, it was a great club unfortunately closed in (I believe...) 2007.  I was a lucky person to be a part of the great club, and I made new friends, who unfortunately I wasn't able to keep in touch with.  We could post anything (almost) we wanted... and we didn't have to choose messages.  We kind of had email like on InnerStar U, but it just wasn't the same.

I will have to do a post on that.

I would have more (and did) but I edited my draft, and accidently hit DELETE POST instead of Publish. Awwwwwwwwwwwww!!  Sorry about that.
